We are extremely excited to announce the launch of this new single-lot relationship coffee, from farmer Yolanda Yajahuanca Santos. This fully-washed, patio-dried coffee is not one to miss.
Yolanda is a part of Las Damas de San Ignacio, a solely female extension of Cooperative Agraria Frontera San Ignacio (COOPAFSI) located in Peru. The women of Las Damas prioritize education in their communities, especially in regard to youth. New
schools, better farming practices, and increased access to equipment are just a few resources COOPAFSI continues to offer.
Currently there are over 600 farms participating with this co-op. COOPAFSI’s emphasis on empowering female producers is suggested to strengthen the general communities with members, as it gives women financial control at a family-level, providing predictable cash-flow, and for a localized prioritization of investment.
We roast on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and to ensure the best tasting coffees, orders received after Monday may not be processed or shipped until the following week.
