Many years ago we started working with a man named Bertilio Reyes who was the 2009 Honduras Cup of Excellence Champion. We developed an exclusive relationship with him and a partnership that we hope will last a lifetime. In order to have a long-lasting relationship, Bertilio needed someone to continue his legacy of producing high-quality coffee. He has no children, but has raised his nephew, Olvin, as one of his own. After a lifetime of learning the ins and outs of coffee farming from Bertilio, 4 years ago he was able to purchase his own farm. Today he has a 0.7 hectare farm with 3800 Catuai plants on the mountainside of Ocotillo near his uncle in Santa Barbara, Honduras. He has committed to organic farming practices and is in the process of receiving certification. Every year his crops have showed more and more potential. We are excited to finally be able to share this coffee with all of you, we hope you enjoy it!
