Santos Bermeo Cordova has owned her 10 hectare farm, El Romerillo El Laricaro, for the past 35 years. She now shares ownership of the farm with her grandson, Vidal, whom she raised as her son since he was small. Santos is proud to have passed on her love and knowledge for coffee cultivation to her grandson - witnessing another generation of her family carry on this legacy and love for coffee farming.
Combine Santos' knowledge and Vidal's enthusiasm, and you get high-quality coffee. Vidal now lives with his wife Esther and their young daughter, Joselyn. The family has also joined COOPAFSI. Established in 1969, the group works to promote gender equality in coffee production and has focused heavily on ways to improve coffee quality and the livelihoods of its members.
We roast on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and to ensure the best tasting coffees, orders received after Monday may not be processed or shipped until the following week.
