Adriano Franco lives in a community called Barba de Bode, about 5 miles south of Sao Joao da Mata in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has grown coffee at Sitio Agua Limpa with his brother Alex Franco for over 10 years. They are 3rd generation coffee producers and realized years ago that they could improve their crops' quality through experimenting with new post-harvest drying methods and new varietals like yellow arara and red catuai. They've added new equipment like ventilated static boxes to their drying process that has allowed them to maintain a high level of control during fermentation, resulting in a more complex cup profile.
Brazil is the world’s largest supplier of arabica coffee. The coffee is a work-horse in most cafes for blending in espresso, house drip, or cold brew. The flavor profile is consistently clean and sweet with creamy, nutty, chocolatey flavors.
We roast on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and to ensure the best tasting coffees, orders received after Monday may not be processed or shipped until the following week.
