Edwin Cota is the son of Antonio Domingo Cota, a farmer we've been working with for many years. If you've been following us for a while, you will know we have worked with Edwin and his family for a long time. His father is Antonio Domingo Cota, with neighbor Feliciano Silvestre Ros. Edwin has a beautiful family, with wife Claribel and daughter Hannah, who all give a hand on the farm. We were first attracted the Asociación Civil Guaya'b because they produced some of the finest Organic Fair Trade SMBC Certified Bird Friendly coffees we could find anywhere. They are a model of sustainability in a fairly remote region. We use another one of this group's coffees as a base for our High Tide espresso.
In 2018, a team from Bard and Wicked Joe, visited the cooperative and led a multi-day workshop. This workshop covered everything from sample-roasting, cupping, and brewing coffee. We are extremely proud of this relationship and hope you give Edwin's coffee a try!
We roast on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and to ensure the best tasting coffees, orders received after Monday may not be processed or shipped until the following week.
