Unlike the very thin spouts on other pouring kettles, the Wave Pot allows you unparalleled control over your pour; even compared to other "dragon-neck" kettles, due to its sharply pinched lip. The tapered neck reduces the "siphon effect" that increases unwanted velocity of water out of the spout. The wood handle (removable for use in a dishwasher) is comfortable to hold and is protected from the hot kettle water.
